< The Way of Growth and Completion for Unperfected Spirit Selves in the Spirit World. >
1. Quotations from Cheon Seong Gyeong
• Those who died as infants or without marrying are now being liberated and brought into the realm of blessing.
(Cheon Seong Gyeong, p. 948, right bottom, lines 11–8)
• Because blessings have now been extended to all people—including infants—the entire spirit world has responded. From the perspective of the Principle, what is blessing? It is the fulfillment of human responsibility. Those who fulfill this responsibility stand as perfected sons and daughters of God, with the authority to govern the angelic world. Those connected to the blessing already belong to a different spiritual registry.
(Cheon Seong Gyeong, p. 949, left top, lines 3–12)
• Prior to my journey to America to conduct the 400 million couples blessing, I gave spiritual blessings to many, and even allowed them to perform the three-day ceremony.
• By conducting the three-day ceremony, a full-scale mobilization order was issued in the spirit world. What remained was the blessing of those who died without marrying. There are billions who grew up in the spirit world, waiting for marriage. Because the door was opened, 1.6 billion couples—four times the previous 400 million—were blessed.
• This includes those who died as single men and women, and infants who died after birth. These infants grow in the spirit world. They do not remain as they were. When mothers mourn and remember them, that heartfelt thought contributes to their growth.
• If a wife mourns her deceased husband with heartfelt sorrow, he receives benefit from it.
(Cheon Seong Gyeong, p. 945, right top, line 11 – p. 946, left top, line 8)
• Therefore, all spirits who died without marrying were gathered and blessed. Also, infants who died after birth grow in the spirit world. All those who died before marrying and are over 16 years old are being blessed. This amounts to billions. Blessings are currently being conducted.
(Cheon Seong Gyeong, p. 947, left top, lines 4–11)
• The path of love cannot be divided. Love is horizontal. Even if a son dies, he does not disappear. He grows in the spirit world with a horizontal counterpart. Therefore, even infants who die after birth grow in the spirit world. The Unification Church must understand this. If children who went to the spirit world did not fall, they will return and live again. Because those who were blessed in the spirit world were allowed to conduct the three-day ceremony, those who believed in the Unification Church and passed away—husbands or wives—can now return to earth and live together.
(Cheon Seong Gyeong, p. 949, left bottom, lines 11–1)
2. Principle-Based Understanding of the Above Quotations.
According to the Divine Principle, the growth of the spirit self occurs through the reciprocal interaction between <life elements> from God and <vital elements> from the physical body. Readers may assume that these vital elements must come solely from one’s own physical body.
Traditionally, the method of resurrection through returning explains that unperfected spirits descend to earth and cooperate with earthly people to receive the necessary vital elements from their bodies, thereby growing together.
However, the above quotations suggest a new possibility:
Even without returning to earth, unperfected spirit selves can grow and reach completion within the spirit world itself.
That is, while <life elements> from God remain essential, the <vital elements> needed for growth do not necessarily have to come from one’s own physical body. They can also be received from the bodies of other earthly people—through prayer, devotion, remembrance, and spiritual connection.
This reveals a profound truth:
Vital elements from others can be effective in the growth and completion of unperfected spirit selves in the spirit world.
3. Conclusion.
The quotations from Cheon Seong Gyeong illuminate a new dimension of resurrection theology:
That even without returning to earth,
unperfected spirit selves may grow, develop, and reach perfection
through the interaction of divine life elements from God, and vital elements received from others.
This concept expands our understanding of spiritual growth and
opens a new horizon for the providence of resurrection—
one that unfolds not only through earthly cooperation, but also
through the living dynamics of love, remembrance, and
spiritual reciprocity within the spirit world itself.
