A Study on the Inconsistency Between the Text of Unification Thought (Human Perfection) and Its Diagram.

<  A Study on the Inconsistency

Between the Text of Unification Thought (Human Perfection) and

Its Diagram.   >

1.   Citation from Unification Thought.

• Perfection (完全性)

Perfection refers to the unity of Sungsang and Hyungsang.

In God,

Sungsang and Hyungsang engage in a harmonious give-and- take action

in the relationship of subject and object,

thereby forming a union through harmonized oneness.

This state is called perfection.

< Unification Thought, p. 346, lower section, lines 9–3 >

• Diagram 5–1. “Resemblance to God and the Three Great Blessings”

〈Perfection〉 Center: Purpose

〈First Blessing〉

<  Unification Thought,  P.  346.  상.  8 초 ~  하.  10 말.   >

2.   A Principle-Based Interpretation of the Above Citation.

In the cited text, the explanation states:

“… centering on Shimjeong …”

However, in the corresponding diagram:

Diagram 5–1. “Resemblance to God and the Three Great Blessings”

〈Perfection〉

Center: Purpose

〈First Blessing〉

Thus,

the diagram places Purpose at the center.

3.  Conclusion.

As the Principle of Creation explains in detail:

When the Four-Position Foundation is formed with Shimjeong at its center,

the give-and-take action becomes

static and self-identical, and

its result is the formation of harmonized oneness.

However,

when the Four-Position Foundation is formed with Purpose at its center,

the give-and-take action becomes

dynamic and developmental, and

its result is the generation of a new being, an independent being, a developing being.
