<   A Consideration of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification from the Perspective of Orthodoxy and Heresy.   >               A. Overview of the Providential History of Orthodoxy and Heresy.     •  In the Old Testament era, the blood descendants of Abraham— who upheld God’s will and escaped persecution in Egypt— became the First Israel, the chosen people. •  When the resurrected Jesus appeared,  those who followed Him and inherited the second stage of God’s providence became the Second Israel,  even though the First Israel denounced them as heretics. •  (The First Israel, claiming themselves to be orthodox,  rejected the Messiah, crucified Him, and  persecuted the early Christians as heretics.) •  In Luke 17:25 and onward,  Jesus foretold that at His Second Coming He would again suffer greatly. Based on this,  we understand that the returning Christ would inevitably be condemned as a heretic  by the very Christians who constitute the Second Israel. •  (The global Christian community—the Second Israel—claimed to be orthodox and persecuted the Returning Messiah and His disciples as heretics.) •  If this occurs,  then just as God abandoned the Jews who rejected Jesus,  He would likewise have no choice but to turn away from Christians  who persecute the Returning Christ (Matthew 7:23). •  In that case,  the Korean people— who were to receive the Returning Lord and complete God’s third providential dispensation— would become the Third Israel. •  However,  because the Korean people, as the Third Israel, rejected and persecuted the Returning Messiah, God abandoned them as well and raised up a new Fourth Israel: •  the worldwide Blessed Families, forming the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification. •  From that point onward,  the age of providence centered on religion was declared complete,  and the providence centered on the Family Federation began. In this way,  a people who were once chosen and orthodox can lose their position  when they reject the newly manifested Messiah and condemn Him as heretical. God then departs from them and raises a new chosen people to continue His providence. This has been the sorrowful, unresolved course of God’s restoration history. •  Blood descendants of Abraham → First Israel •  Christians who followed Jesus → Second Israel •  Nation receiving the Returning Christ → Third Israel •  Worldwide Blessed Families of the Returning Messiah → Fourth Israel     B. Overview of the Providential Course Centered on the Returning Messiah.     For the first time in human restoration history,  the Returning Messiah conducted the Blessing Ceremony as a providence of total restoration—embracing both the physical world and the spiritual world. This distinguishes the providence of the Returning Messiah from that of the First Coming. Beginning His mission from nothing in 1954,  the Returning Messiah endured severe opposition and false accusations from established churches. He suffered imprisonment six times  (twice in North Korea, once in Japan, twice in South Korea, once in the United States). By the 40th year of His mission (1994),  He had pioneered a global providence, sending missionaries to 195 nations. He established His own Blessed Family, multiplied God’s direct-lineage children through the Blessing,  and expanded the number of Blessed Families worldwide to approximately 400 million couples (1994 figure). Four hundred million couples equal 800 million individuals. If we count only first-generation children—assuming an average of three children per family—each family becomes a five‑member household, resulting in approximately two billion Blessed Family members on earth. If we add: •  those preparing for the Blessing, •  those studying the Principle worldwide, •  and the descendants of Blessed Families up to the fifth generation, then the earthly and spiritual population of Blessed Families becomes incalculable. This achievement represents the physical‑spiritual restoration result  that parallels the spiritual salvation accomplished by the resurrected Jesus over 2,000 years. Considering that 30 more years have passed since 1994 to the present year, 2026, the exponential growth of five generations—based on an average of three children per family— should be contemplated carefully. The hidden, undisclosed achievements behind this providential history far exceed ordinary imagination. These are the members of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification, the Fourth Israel.     C. The Providence of the Cheon Il Guk Era and My Present Reflection.   During the pioneering course of His disciples,  the Returning Messiah advanced the providence of restoring  leaders of the Korean Peninsula and the global communist world. A few years after meeting Chairman Kim Il‑sung in Pyongyang, He met President Gorbachev in the Kremlin, Moscow, and instructed that only one‑third of the underground missionary network in the communist world— the weakest portion—should be revealed.
